Patricia Bustos
Patricia Bustos Studio was founded with a very clear calling to create unique, innovative things, to always add value and with creativity and beauty as its maxims where design is concerned. The studio’s aesthetic propositions are always thrilling, bright and cutting edge; inspired by the past but also forward looking.
The Milanese avant-garde, mid-century modern, the crazy 60s and Sottsass’ Memphis style are just some of the aesthetic benchmarks alluded to in its projects. A colouristic hallmark and an unmistakeable, sophisticated, fresh, feminine feel are this firm’s calling card.
Carolina Micó
Carolina Mico specializes in creative direction and multidisciplinary design, ranging from product and interior design to art direction. Based in Spain, Carolina Mico, understands creation as a tool to surprise and excite the public in projects with a colorful, acid and optimistic imprint that coexists with a fresh, dreamy and feminine style, using retro inspiration translated into a modern language.
Extravagance, creativity and conceptual irony are Carolina’s basics, aiming to have fun and tell nice stories.
Her works bring inspiring reports from the outer frontiers of technologies, materials and possibilities. Her product design collaborations include distinguished design companies such as Moooi, Se and Dior. Nika Zupanc creates limited edition collections for Rossana Orlandi, while continuing to design and produce her own brand.
Since emerging at the Milan Design Week she has been closely watched by the industry and the press, describing her work as everything from “punk elegance” (Elle USA) and “techno chic” (BusinessWeek) to “larger than life” (Clear magazine) and Zupanc as “the real star” (The Wall StreetJournal). Her visual language comes from deep within and is about “communicating the things that cannot be told.”
Serena Confalonieri (1980) is an indipendent designer and art director based in Milano. She works on product, graphic and textile design projects and collaborates with many italian and international companies.
Her works are placed in-between product and graphic design: an accurate research on the surfaces is always present in her projects. After a Master Degree in Interior Design, she started her career working in many architecture and design practices in Milano, Barcelona and Berlin, and collaborating with the Interior Design Faculty of Politecnico di Milano as assistant professor. In 2013 she makes her debut at Milano Design Week with her Flamingo rug, produced by Nodus.
